2017 Under 15 Boys National Champions!

Congratulations to Altona junior players Aaron Lewer, Eden Hana-Roberts and Logan Tapuala (Wyndham Lacrosse) on winning the 2017 U15 Boys National Championships held in Perth, Western Australia. The boys continue the Western Metros Team winning streak with the team bringing home the trophy at the 2016 Championships.

Congratulations also to Altona juniors Lauren McMahon, Dylan Kukucka and Thomas Bennet-Hullins for competing in the tournament. Lauren playing in the Victorian U15 Ice team and Dylan and Thomas in the Presidents team.

Congratulations to Altona juniors William McDonald, Joel Kukucka and Kieren McMahon on breaking the drought by bringing home the 2016 Under 15 Boys Nationals Winners Trophy. William was one of the captains of the Western Metros team who along with all Altona boys played a big part in the final game.

Under 19 Australian Team


Congratulations to our very own Altona Lacrosse Club junior, Lachlan McDonald on making the U19 Australian Men’s Team.

The team will compete at the 2016 FIL U19 Men’s World Championship, to be held in Coquitlam Canada, Thursday 7 – Saturday 16 July 2016.

Fifteen members of twenty six man squad are Victorian which speaks highly of the health of lacrosse in the state.

There will be a fundraiser night on Saturday the 9th April at the clubrooms, details to be confirmed.

Altona wins four Champion Player Trophies

2015 was a great year for our Altona senior players. The club entered three senior teams Division 1, Division 2 and A-Grade Women for the 2015 season.

At the Lacrosse Victoria 2015 Season Presentation night Altona came out with four champion player trophies.

In the A-Grade Women competition Vicki Ryan won the champion player for 2015.

In the Division 2 Men competition Maurice Zicman won the champion player for 2015.

In the Division 1 Men competition Campbell Mackinnon and Lachlan McDonald came equal first to win the champion player for 2015.
